Bako Anjeh, a 36-year-old man from Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, has been arrested for allegedly raping and killing a 17-year-old girl.

Before having canal knowledge of the victim, Anjeh allegedly forced her to drink phenol, a chemical intended to kill plants.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, the State Command’s police spokeswoman, stated that the suspect had been located by Command officers.

“One Dimka Sarki filed a complaint with Akwanga Area Command alleging that one Bako Anjeh enticed his daughter to his room with the goal of having unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” the official added.

He went on to explain that when she refused, he forced her to drink gramophone, a chemical used to kill grasses and that once she did, she became weak and he had carnal knowledge of her.

ASP Ramhan Nansel went on to say that after receiving the allegation, police officers proceeded quickly to the area and detained the offender.

The woman was rushed to Ola Hospital in Akwanga Local Government Area, where her statements were taken before she died and her body was deposited for post-mortem examination, according to the spokesman.
