Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party in the 25 February presidential election, has filed a petition with the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal three weeks after the poll.

Peter Obi showed faith in the judicial system on Thursday morning during a Channels Television Interview that DAILY POST watched.

“I have faith in the legal system. I am because I fought for a stolen mandate for three years in court despite people’s claims that you couldn’t become a governor through the Court, he claimed.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which Peter Obi found disappointing.

The former governor went to the electoral tribunal and declared he had won.

In a similar manner, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party went before the Court and declared victory.

Tinubu, the president-elect, has stated his intention to stand up for his election victory.
