Ibikunle Amosun, a former governor of Ogun State, responded to the conflict engulfing the state’s APC ahead of the general elections in 2023.
There have been rumors that some disgruntled party members plan to leave the organization.

However, Amosun insisted that he supports both President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, during a meeting with party leaders held at his home in Ibara.

Additionally, the member for Ogun Central Senatorial District said that anyone considering leaving the party is welcome to gauge its support elsewhere.

Derin Adebiyi, the faction’s APC Chairman, who attended the meeting in Amosun’s place, cautioned the irate members not to bargain in his name.

Adebiyi was described by sources at the meeting as stating, “He (Amosun) has sent us to you that he stands with Tinubu, he is loyal to APC,” according to Daily Post. By the grace of God, he will follow President Muhammadu Buhari to Daura on May 29, 2023, and he will say Alhamdulilah.

“A joint decision will be made if there is any further action to be taken.

Now, he said we should inform everyone of the fact that he is the one person who should remain with anyone who loves him and believes in him despite all of his justifications.
