Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has revealed that he has started charging artists seeking his collaboration on their songs.

Speaking in an interview on the Bootleg Kev show, Davido said his lawyers drafted the contract in line with his disclosure.

The hit-maker who wasn’t present said he’s currently charging $100,000 (N46M) plus a video featuring artists he knows. He hinted that it could be more if the request for cooperation came from someone he didn’t know.

As expected, the video generated some reaction among netizens, while some praised Davido for the latest decision saying that free access to him will be reduced as he will not be considered. As is obvious, others note that he has to charge more than that based on their level and impact in the music industry. Watch the video below:
