Gabby Agbonlahor, a former Aston Villa captain, has picked his Premier League Player of the Season for the 2021/22 season.
Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur was chosen by Agbonlahor as the Premier League Player of the Season, ahead of Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City.
According to him, there is no penalty in the 19-20 goals the South Korean international has scored for Antonio Conte’s team in the Premier League this season.
“I know it would be controversial, but Son,” Agbonlahor remarked on talkSPORT when asked who should win Player of the Season. He’s scored 18-19 Premier League goals and hasn’t missed a penalty. Smashing them in with both feet, left and right.
“If I had to choose a player for Premier League Player of the Season right now, it would be Son.”
In the meanwhile, Son will try to lead Tottenham to victory in tonight’s Premier League North London derby against Arsenal.
