Dammy Krane, a Nigerian artist and songwriter, has revealed that he once paid for a video shoot for a song held by Davido, the Afrobeats sensation.

He said this in response to a fan who questioned his decision to confront DMW’s CEO about unpaid fees.

Remember how he accused the Grammy winner of refusing to pay him for co-writing his song, Pere?

On the popular single, released in 2017, Davido partnered with American rappers Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug.

In response to the backlash, a DMW member, @olajuwonekun, asked Krane if he paid Davido for his performance on the song, Issue.

@dammy Krane” Do you pay David for his poetry on the topic ”

The ‘Amin’ singer took to Twitter to clarify that OBO owns the song and that he paid for the music video but received nothing in return.

According to him, there is evidence to back up his claim, which music video director UNLIMILEDLA can verify.

“Ask your Oga @davido that’s his song but I paid for the video since he broke, 99 he didn’t give me a split sheet for it too…” Dammy tweeted. I have the receipt, and @unlimitedla photographed it, and he has to #PayMe every + overdue $.”
