The Emirate will assign Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus the number nine shirt for the upcoming season.
This occurs after the 25-year-£45 old’s million transfer from Manchester City to Arsenal was finalized.
On Thursday, a video of the striker exploring the Emirate stadium was posted online; Jesus was wearing the number nine jersey.
Alexander Lacazette, who departed the team as a free agent at the end of the 2021–2022 season, was the final player to wear the No. 9 jersey.
After leaving North London, Lacazette re-joined Lyon.
The No. 9 jersey has also been worn by Lucas Perez, Lukas Podolski, Chu-young Park, Eduardo, and Julio Baptista during their time at Arsenal.
Jesus would like to see Arsenal advance to the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming year.
