The legendary Gary Neville of Manchester United has projected that the Red Devils will place second in the Premier League standings this year.
Neville asserted that Man City, Man United’s opponent, would win the championship this year.
When asked about his Preseason predictions, Neville said: “That is my inkling early in the season, what generally happens is one team comes so close they realize they can’t win it and then they just play like that in the last two or three games. After two games of losses, someone else suddenly surpasses you.
“Two or three months ago, I believed [Manchester] City would win the league and United would place second. Fair enough, I’m not going to change my mind.
“I still believe that City will win the league, despite the fact that Arsenal is getting closer,” Yet, there are still 14 games to play. Still, I predict that United will come in second.
