Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has highlighted a special message from manager Frank Lampard ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Gallagher put the away side ahead in the first half, with Benoit Badiacile and Joao Felix handing all three points to the Blues.

And after the game, Gallagher revealed that interim head coach Lampard urged the team to stay calm in front of goal. “The main message from my boss was that I needed to be more cool and ruthless in the last third,” he told the BBC.

“The three goals we scored today were fantastic and show that what we have been working on has paid off.”
