Rio Ferdinand, a Manchester United legend, has advised the club’s wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho to take lessons from Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard.

He stated that learning from Arsenal’s star would help the duo add more “risk” to their attacking play.

At Manchester United, Antony and Sancho have had mixed seasons, but Ferdinand believes they are capable of more.

Antony has seven goals in 29 appearances for Manchester United since joining from Ajax for £82 million last summer.

Sancho, on the other hand, has five goals in 23 appearances.

“There’s one part of Antony and Jadon Sancho’s game that I think needs to improve, and that’s taking more risks,” Ferdinand said on the FIVE YouTube channel.

Both players, according to the former Premier League top defender, should learn from Trossard, who joined Arsenal in the January transfer window and, by all accounts, did not need to adapt in his new club.

The Belgian international had a hat-trick of assists in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham over the weekend.

“Trossard was a masterstroke signing for me. “He provides Arsenal with depth in wide areas as well as up front,” Ferdinand added.

“When you talk about wide players not taking chances, this guy [Trossard] does. He receives the ball, advances, plays one-twos, dribbles, takes people on, and sees a pass.

“He is doing everything Arteta would have expected of him as a new signing.”

Arsenal reclaimed a 5-point lead over Manchester City with a resounding win over London rivals Fulham at the weekend, after Pep Guardiola’s side had closed the gap to just two points earlier with a narrow win over Crystal Palace.
