According to Sky Sports, Christian Eriksen and Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle.
The free agency Danish midfielder will now complete a three-year deal with the Premier League team.
Eriksen went on loan to Brentford for the second half of the previous campaign.
The 30-year-old had the option of signing with United or staying with the Bees after his short-term deal expired.
At Old Trafford, he has now made the decision to work alongside Erik ten Hag.
After suffering a heart arrest while competing for Denmark at Euro 2020, Eriksen returned to football and trained with Ajax, where he met Ten Hag.
