Davido and Chioma recently rekindled their romance in the media after getting engaged in 2019 and planning their wedding for July 2020. However, things between them started to go south with the birth of their son Ifeanyi.
Recent signs suggest that Davido and Chioma Rowland, his longstanding fiancée, may finally tie the knot after years of on-again, off-again dating.
The pop artist offered a hint while meeting eminent cleric Pastor Tobi Adegboyega in London.
In a video that has been going viral on social media, pastor Adegboyega is seen hugging Chioma and referring to her as “our wife, our actual wife.” Davido then responds, “Hundred percent, going down 2023,” implying that they would soon wed.
In a 2021 interview with Ndani, Davido also acknowledged that making their relationship public, had harmed his relationship with Chioma.
He asserted that Chioma started to receive numerous abusive remarks on social media once she gained notoriety.
The fact that Davido announced their forthcoming nuptials in 2023 and that Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega, who resides in the UK, regularly referred to Chioma as “Our wife, our actual wife,” after handing her a Birkin bag in a recent video, suggests that the couple has moved past that.
