Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has secretly welcomed twins with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at one of his firms.

According to court documents obtained by Insider and made public on Wednesday, the twins were born in November 2021 in Austin, Texas.

Zilis is the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Neuralink, a neurotechnology business created and owned by Musk.

The papers, filed in April 2022, were a request by the parents to a county judge in Texas to have their children’s names altered to reflect their father’s last name, with their mother’s last name included as part of their middle name.

Musk’s twins arrived weeks before the birth of his daughter with his ex-partner, Claire Boucher, a Canadian musician better known by her stage name Grimes, according to Insider.

Boucher admits to covertly giving birth to the child through a surrogate in December 2021 in an April cover story interview with Vanity Fair.

Musk and his first wife, Justine Wilson, have 18-year-old twins, Vivian Jenna Wilson and Griffin Musk, as well as 16-year-old triplets, Kai, Damian, and Sax Musk. Nevada Musk, the couple’s second child, died at the age of ten weeks.

Vivian, originally Xavier Alexander Musk, changed her name and ended her ties with her father in June.
