A superb Nigerian disc jockey, DJ YK Mule makes his musical debut with the seductive smash song “Eran Iya.”
The rhythm, titled simply Dance, lacks vocals. It definitely bore the markings of Nigeria’s emerging Afrobeats music genre, but the great majority of those who listened to it had no idea who made it – until November 2019, when its creator, Lagos-based Olayinka “DJ YK” Lawal, uploaded a street dance video to YouTube.
Conversely, “Eran Iya,” a wonderful song, follows his previous offering, “Omo Elewa (KuKu).”
