The Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy has launched his own cannabis business in Miami. By his stage name, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu is more well-known.
Black Cannabis Magazine claims that Jokes Up and Ice Kream worked together to create Burna Boy’s cannabis brand BrkFst, which was only just launched in South Beach, Miami.
The line “I need Igbo and shayo (Shayo)” from Burna Boy’s famous song “Last Last” is considered to have inspired the brand.
Heartbreak is discussed in the song “Last Last,” which was released on May 13th, 2022. The song refers to heartbreak as “Breakfast.” Other lyrics talked about utilizing booze and cannabis (Igbo) to deal with the heartache (shayo).
The album was released a little over a year after the singer referred to Nigeria’s cannabis prohibition as “dumb.”
A pop-up event from noon to three in the afternoon was the start of the brand launch, which took place during Miami Carnival. From 3:30 to 7 in the afternoon, brunch was served at a Miami Diner.
At the Tipsy Musical Festival at Bayfront Park, which had an all-white theme, Burna Boy was the featured performer.
