President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron on his second term in office.

Macron’s victory also made history by making him the first sitting president of France to return in two decades.

Buhari congratulated him and stated that the iconic leadership style of the French President, who worked as an intern at the French Embassy in Nigeria for six months in 2002, continues to inspire a new generation of leaders and interest in politics and governance, beginning in his own country and beyond.

“President Buhari congratulates French President Emmanuel Macron, his wife Brigitte Macron, friends, and political associates on the historic achievement, and assures President Macron of Nigeria’s support as he continues to advocate for humanizing policies, promoting peace and stability, and encouraging development through innovation.”
