A keynote address presented by Rev Fr Dennis John Chukwubuzor Attah, during the seventh national prayer rally organized for the security of the Church and our nation in St Paul’s Parish Nrobo, Catholic Diocese of Nsukka. (20th-27th June 2021).

THE CHRISTIAN VOCATION

I would want to bring to the consciousness of the people that we are Christians and that by vocation we are established to fight, just as it is observable that our Master and Lord Jesus Christ fought all his days. He fought the rulers class that was exploiting the poor. He fought the religious leaders who were misleading the populace. He fought the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. He fought the Saducees for their unbelief. He fought the rich who despised the poor. He fought the teachers of the law who were interpreting the scriptures for their own interests. He confronted the general externalism of the Jews, characterized by the observation of the letters of the commandments at the expense of the spirit of the commandments. He fought the popular group that was turning religion into business. Finally, on the cross, he fought and conquered the eternal enemy of man, the power of darkness that came to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn 10:10).

After the resurrection of Jesus, the apostles took up the fight that was meant to keep the power of darkness in check and pave way for the reign of God’s kingdom. Even when they were instructed by the highest ruling body of the Jews to give up the mission, they vehemently retorted: “We must obey God, not men” (Act 5:29).
This is our own generation and we can not but walk in the footsteps of our spiritual ancestors who had sustained the battle till now and were able to hand over to us a glorious Church.

LAZYMAN SPIRITUALITY

As people make the lazy man’s effort to avoid confrontation with our enemies, by all means, we should take note of the fact that we are the African Jews, and that the Jews of the Middle East are not alive today because they are in concord with their neighboring enemies, but because they frontally resist the attacks of these enemies. No wonder their outgone Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said:
“If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more ‎violence. If the Jews put ‎down their weapons ‎today, there would be no ‎more Israel.”

THE IRONY

The irony of the lazy man mentality is that as the foolish Christians keep confusing quietude with peace, the jihadists are constantly and consistently killing Christians, taking over our lands, destroying our church buildings, killing the Church ministers, claiming ownership of Nigeria without any opposition. They have bi faceted the law of the country and openly called the rest of the Nigerians their subjects. Clearly treated the rest of the Nigerians as their slaves. They have reserved every head position, glorious and lucrative offices for themselves and compelled Nigerians to feed on their dustbin. Punished only you when you committed the same crime with a Fulani. It is unfortunate that some people delude themselves with their false concord with their enemies that conditions them to constantly avoid direct confrontation with the enemies that constantly kill them.

LACK OF SENSE OF FREEDOM

The truth is that one may continue to deceive him or herself with the useless efforts to avoid a war that the Fulanis had already brought on us. They are already killing you, raping your women, destroying your crops, threaten to impose their way of life on you and you foolishly claim that you are passive just to avoid war. MY FELLOW CHRISTIANS, CAN YOU AVOID A WAR THAT IS ALREADY RAGING ON? What a big mistake? How can you prevent what is already in existence?

KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY

Your enemies had already condemned you to death and are already killing you and are destroying your means of lively hood and you are losing men every day and in your thoughtlessness, you are still eulogizing your oneness with your enemies. You are making your futile attempt to relate with a race that is bent on exterminating you. Does it mean that our people do not consult our history at all? Could you not observe that the unholy marriage of Northern and Southern Nigeria had never been a healthy marriage? Until now, you are yet to learn that the killing of the Christians had always been the hobby of these Fulani jihadists? Don’t you know that it is not a sin for a Fulani to kill a Christian? In a very way, they started with the Middle Belt they have started with us, and you are a witness to what is happening to the Middle Belt now.
Unintelligent men, what did you understand by:
“Do not try to work together as equals with unbelievers, for it cannot be done. How can right and wrong be partners? How can light and darkness live together?” (2Cor 6:14). Let this be clear to you, in so far as you maintain the ungodly rapport with those enemies of the Church, who glory in bloodshed, you make yourself abhor able to God, and by no means can you have peace.
The truth is that your unwillingness to fight and break the yoke of the Fulani is not because of the lack of the way withal but because you lack the sense of freedom.

THE MISSION OF THE FULANIS

Let this also be clear to everyone that the Fulanies know what they are looking for, which clearly are to take your land, supplant Christianity, and impose Fulani culture on you. There is nothing on earth you can do to dissuade them or to convince them otherwise. No matter what you do for them, they have a target and must insist on its actualization. Turn yourself into their foot mat, leak their boot, slave for them, sabotage your people for them, smile at them when they insult you and your ancestors, praise them as they decimate your people, or dance for them as they mock your culture and religion, they always know their mission and are determined to actualize it. The only thing that can stop them is your determined effort to resist them frontally. Even at that, it may not just be a one-day job, you must be ready to battle them until they come to realize that you know that they also bleed and die, then they will let you be.

THE ONLY SOLUTION

Outside direct confrontation, no other measure can be applied to the problems of the Fulanis. An appeal is for those who have a human conscience, but the Fulanis do not have. A complaint is for those who observe laws, but the Fulanies do not. Negotiation is for those who have value for trust, but the Fulanies do not. Patience is for those who are reasonable, but the Fulanis are not. So, the only workable solutions to the problems of the Fulanis, proven over time, are stiff resistance and persistent confrontation.

PERSECUTION AND DESTRUCTION

Unfortunately, many Christians of today cannot differentiate between persecution and destruction. The Lord was very clear about persecution and destruction, hence he advised us to turn the other cheek for the persecutor who strikes us on one cheek. (One needs to understand that when the Lord talked about turning the other cheek, he was addressing it within the context of a religiously moral people, who had knowledge and fear of God.) He did not address it in the context of immoral anti-Christian jihadists who consider themselves above the law and glory in the massive killing of vulnerable individuals. Jesus, addressed a moral people that really have value for human life and have fear of God, no wonder the whole of the acts of the apostles could witness only the execution of Stephen and James. The Jews never attacked the Church violently and rarely condemned any Christian without trial, but here we are faced with people who feel comfortable to bomb church and worshipers and kill the great and the humble, the young and the old. “The doctrine of turn the other cheek is not an issue for the barbaric people like the Nigerian Fulanis. If you make the mistake of approaching the Fulanis in the spirit of turn the other cheek, they will cut off your head”. -ADC John

RESIST THE DEVIL

It is the Lord that instructed us to be as wise as a serpent (Mt 10:16), so as to know what to do at every given situation), and also taught us to resist the devil in order to force him to flee from us (James 4:7).
We should note that the persecution of the Church the Lord talked about and advised us to tolerate has only to do with a person, some individuals, or some of our belongings, and not about the annihilation plan that constitutes a threat to the very existence of the Church. That was why He gave us an example that it is not under every Situation that our response to a slap should be turning the other cheek (When he was slapped by the servant of Caiphas, He did not keep quiet or turn the second cheek, but rather asked why He should be slapped (Jn 18:22-23).

We should also note that he gave the Jews a condition before he allowed them to arrest him. He made sure that the persecution did not degenerate to the annihilation of his ministry by his insistence that his followers must be left out of the case. That was to ensure that there were people to keep the mission moving.
Let me here be specific: Anybody who claims to be a Christian but is not yet moved by the present experiences of the Christians in Nigeria, to defend the Church spiritually, physically, socially, and otherwise, should consider him or herself fake. We should realize that there is not going to be a more dangerous time for the Church in this part of the world than the one we are going through now. This is because the jihadist Fulanies are already at the third out of their four-stage Fulanization program.

THE FULANIZATION STAGES

The four stages of the Fulanization program are:
1. Hijack of political power.
2. Occupation of the land.
3. Intimidation of the people by massive bloodshed.
4. Imposition of Fulani culture and forceful conversation of people to Islam.

It is clear now that they have taken over everything about the government and they have gained ground into our land. They have also started massively to massacre the Christians. The only thing remaining for the completion of their fulanization program is the forceful conversion of the remnants to the Islamic religion. At this point, therefore, anybody who expects assistance from any other source outside God and ourselves is simply making a mockery of him or herself and will be disillusioned.

Hence, let it be clear to everyone that:
1. The jihadists have come and they cannot go back unless they are forced back.
2. Nobody will force them back apart from you and I.
3. No amount of crying and petitioning will compel Europe or America to come to our assistance.
4. The big nations are more likely to assist our enemies because such may give them more access to our natural resources.
5. It is better for us to die now, while vigorously defending our rights, lives, land, culture, religion, etc than to live as Fulani slaves, no-people, and Muslims.

THREAT OF ANNIHILATION

In this our own present situation, in which both our lives and the Church is threatened by annihilation, do you really know that:

1. Quietude is not peace?
2. Silence in the face of evil is approval of evil?
3. You do not need to go to the Fulanis before you have their trouble, they naturally will bring it to you?
4. If you overlook the trouble of the Fulanis, their trouble will consume you?
5. If their trouble consumes you, you lose your identity, freedom, and religion; you practically cease to be a people?
6. Whether you react to their problems or not they will naturally fight you?
7. If you fight them back they will fight harder, if they defeat you then they will take over your land?
8. The courageous can always overcome the Fulanis, because they are not spirit, (they also bleed and die) and if you are consistent you will defeat them, and if you defeat them, you will retain your land, maintain your identity, religion and cease from being their slaves?
9. The brand of Fulani of this generation is not the type of Ahmadu Bello or Tafawa Balewa that were just interested in political powers, but that in addition to that, are now out to take over every land for the Fulani race?
10. The mission of the present Fulanies is not just to be in charge of the government, but to destroy every civilization or culture that is not Fulani?
11. The taking over of land is not just only placing a sariki over you in your village to make you a Fulani as they said they would do, but also to make you a Muslim and to make you renounce Christ and reject everything about Christianity?
12. In summary, you will be under sharia laws, and human rights would be a thing of history to you?

IMPENDING DOOM

Bellow is the fate awaiting you if you fail to understand that fighting these jihadists now is the only solution for the security of your life, the preservation of the Church of Jesus Christ, the preservation of your generation, and the protection of your identity. In the following statements they issued in May 2018, you can visualize your next one decade if care is not taken:

“We have said it over and over, that Nigeria is the only inheritance we have in Africa and anywhere in the world. This land belongs to us, from Sokoto to the banks of the Atlantic Ocean. This was the destiny bestowed on Uthman Dan Fodio which would have been fulfilled since 1816 if not for the obstruction of this great assignment by the British. It is no longer time to play the ostrich(Sic). Our men are waiting. We are eager to fight. We are boiling with the zeal to actualize our dream; enough of double-dealing and ambivalence by FULANI political leaders who unfortunately think the FULANI can only take back what belongs to us through appeasement and elections destined to reflect cultural values antithetical to the preachings of Uthman Dan Fodio.

“We warn that nothing will be able to save those raising their voices against us and Allah. Nothing will be left behind, from the East, West, and Middle Belt except those who accept the creation of Allah and the leadership place of Fulani in fulfilling this destiny. Since this irresponsible Western notion of democracy was imposed, the Fulani have been shortchanged and maligned. The Middle-Belt, the West, and the East should be prepared. We are already here.

“Let the Birom and the ethnic minority invaders in the entire Middle Belt leave our territory or be prepared to accept our ways of live. It is time for them to savour their wounds. It is just the beginning. Many more will come and nothing can stop us.”

DYING WITH CHRIST OR LIVING WITH MUHAMMAD

Juxtaposing the above statement with the impunity of the Fulani jihadists today, one is left with no doubt as to whether they are determined to actualize the unholy ambition by all means. In the light of the above, the Christians here are faced with two serious options out of which one must choose from. The options are: Dying with Christ or living with Muhammad. The Christians are to choose between fighting in defense of their faith, (living or dying in the course of the fight) or surrendering to the Fulanis and living the rest of their lives as a conquered people, pseudo-Muslims, and slaves of the Fulanis. The Christians who vehemently insist that they wouldn’t give up their faith in Christ should be ready to pay the supreme price of dying with Christ while the Christians who are not willing to fight the jihadists, should comfortably wait to live with Muhammad, as forced Muslims that may merit them the status of the third class or fourth-class citizens and a perpetual recipient of Fulani disgraceful orders, like the Yoruba and Hausa Muslims experience it today.

ABNORMAL COLONIZATION

If these scavenging vultures were to be contented with ordinary colonization that gives the colonizer access and right over the land and the economy but allows the people the freedom to pursue their interests and live their lives, one would have condoned it in the Christian spirit of: ” Our kingdom is not of this world” (Jn 18:36). Just as our ancestors condoned the British colonizers because they presented their religion and way of life as an option and not as an inescapable last option. On the contrary, the Fulanis are out to dehumanize people and annihilate cultures.

The indubitable fact about the entire affair is that our religion is our life and faced with serving the Fulani gods or death we choose death. Precisely for that reason, we stop at nothing in our bid to defend our lives! We either have the freedom to serve our God the way he requires us to serve him or we die fighting to secure the freedom.

BETTER TO DIE NOW

In the final analysis, we can observe that the main intention of the Fulanis is to separate us from our God and to make us a no-people.

We are Christians and we must maintain our relationship with our God, the CHRISTIAN GOD. Our God, for us, is everything. We cannot sacrifice our relationship with him at the altar of anything whatsoever. We cannot afford to lose him.

We know we are moving to a point from where we may not return, but we can not but fight. This is the point at which it is likely we are going to lose our lives, but we can not but fight. We know we lack all that is needed for success in a battle, but because we have God on our side, we can not but fight. It is humanly obvious we may lose the battle, the land, the property, the people, and even our lives, but we can not but fight in order to retain our God. If we should lose every other thing, without losing our God, we have lost nothing. “We inherited a glorious Church and cannot afford to hand over Islam to the next generation – never!” Even death cannot stop us from handing over a glorious Church to the next generation.

The choice is therefore yours: To die in freedom with Christ or to live in slavery with Muhammad.
