Benito, JJC Skillz’s son, expresses excitement after hearing about the breakdown of Funke Akindele’s marriage
Benito, the son of filmmaker and former musician Abdulrasheed Bello, nicknamed JJC Skillz, has responded after learning that his father’s marriage to actress Funke Akindele had broken down, as his father revealed this morning.
Recall that Benito uploaded several posts a few weeks ago revealing that the celebrity couple’s marriage was in trouble.
Benito published a post on his Instagram page this morning that is thought to be related to his father’s failed marriage after JJC’s revelation this morning.
“I spoke the truth men,” Benito wrote.
Online chatter was recently sparked by reports that the pair may have been struggling.
As the two recently attended the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) Gala separately, the breakup speculations intensified.
They drove separately to the event, didn’t pose for photos together, and kept to themselves while having fun with some of their coworkers individually. This increased the perception that things were tense between them.
JJC Skills revealed on his Instagram page that the marriage has been having problems for two years amid the scattered rumors.
He claims that Funke Akindele asked him to leave her home and has rejected all attempts at reasonable dialogue.
JJC asserted that their marriage is now irreparably broken and that, as of the announcement, he is looking into how they may operate their joint business and co-parent amicably.
