The pregnant wife of Zamfara NULGE Chairman is kidnapped by bandits.
Sanusi Mohammed Gusau’s heavily pregnant wife has been kidnapped. Sanusi is the chairman of the Zamfara State Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).
In the wee hours of Tuesday, June 28, Ramatu Yunusa—who is nine months pregnant—was kidnapped from their Damba Gusau house.
Gusau, who confirmed the event to Punch, claimed that the bandits entered his home at around one in the morning and abducted his wife.
The chairman claimed he was awake when the thieves tried to kidnap him by jumping over the fence, but he quickly hid where they couldn’t see him.
They shattered my door after jumping over the wall, but I was able to conceal it somewhere before they could get into my room. Ramatu, my pregnant wife, was kidnapped after they searched the house and failed to find me, he claimed.
The NULGE Chairman stated that his wife was soon to give birth to a child.
Because her scheduled delivery date is this week, she could give birth at any time.
But he said that the bandits hadn’t yet contacted him.
