Nwoba Chika Nwoba, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) in Ebonyi factional press secretary, has said that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, will be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.
On Wednesday, a group of the Labour Party led by Callistus Okafor, the party’s former Deputy National Chairman, elected a new presidential candidate for the 2023 general election.
Nwoba reacted to the incident on Facebook, saying that it was a ruse to provide a reason why Obi could no longer serve on the party’s platform since he would be chosen as Atiku’s running mate.
“Former Governor Peter Obi will be the running partner of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 election,” he said.
“The Labour Party’s second presidential primary election, in which Amb. Jude Ezenwafor of Anambra State, Peter Obi’s Director of Protocols, was elected Governor, was a well-planned scheme to give the reason why Peter Obi will no longer be contesting the presidency on the Labour Party’s platform.”
“Politics based on emotions and sentiments benefits no one.” Under the PDP, Peter Obi will be Nigeria’s next Vice President.”
