Nnamdi Kanu calls on his supporters to uphold “absolute civility.”
As he faces in court today, Indigenous People of Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu has urged group members to maintain composure.
Kanu will appear today in front of Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court.
“Maintain utmost politeness in your actions, as you have always demonstrated,” he implored the audience.
The IPOB leader, who is facing a terrorist trial, also claimed that he was in excellent spirits and that he was well prepared for the court appearance.
Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kanu’s attorney and the head of his legal team, revealed them in a statement released on Monday during a routine visit to his client at the Department of State Services headquarters.
We carried out the regularly scheduled court-ordered visit to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the DSS headquarters.
The purpose of today’s visit was unusual because it essentially aimed to synchronize the final legal plan for tomorrow’s excursion. Onyendu is in high spirits and is well-prepared for his court appearance tomorrow. We have faith that justice will be served tomorrow as well.
“May we humbly utilize this medium to politely urge Onyendu’s followers, friends, and well-wishers who intend to come to Court tomorrow in solidarity with Onyendu, to please preserve utmost decency in their conduct, as they have always exhibited.”
