President Muhammadu Buhari is accused by Gabriel Zock, a congressman who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of failing to secure the nation and safeguard the lives of its residents.
On Wednesday’s episode of Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television program, the member of the House of Representatives who represents the Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency leveled the charge.
According to Zock, President Buhari has failed to address the escalating insecurity in Kaduna State as well as his campaign pledge to stop bandit activity in the North West area.
The congressman pleaded with the president to give those who have the answers to these security problems the chance to really put their plans into action.

“WE CAMPAIGNED ABOUT THE NATION’S SECURITY IN 2014, BUT TODAY THOSE WHO HAVE THE SOLUTION TO THESE SECURITY ISSUES ARE NOT GIVEN THE PRIVILEGE TO ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT THEIR SOLUTION.
“THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT IS DOING NOTHING TO END THIS INSECURITY. I CAN CERTAINLY SAY THEY ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH.
“THE CHIEF COMMANDER OF THE ARMED FORCES IS THE PRESIDENT. A SOLUTION HAS BEEN DENIED BY ORDERING THE SECURITY AGENCIES FOR SEVEN YEARS.
“ANYONE CAN BE FISHED OUT BY THE GOVERNMENT AT ANY TIME. I think they are not making any efforts to apprehend these bandits.
“THEY DO NOT LIVE OUTSIDE OF NIGERIA AND ARE ALL NIGERIANS. I THINK THE PROBLEM WON’T LAST FOR SIX MONTHS IF THE SECURITY FORCES CAN USE INTELLIGENCE REPORTS AND GATHERINGS.
I think that the president hasn’t followed through on his words with deeds.
