An Islamic organization reacts to the killings of a pregnant Hausa woman and her four children in Anambra
Fatima, a Hausa woman, and her four children were assassinated in Anambra State, according to the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC).
Unidentified men murdered Fatima and her small children on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022.
On Wednesday, the group’s director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, published a statement condemning the heinous behavior.
A pregnant Hausa woman and her children were brutally murdered in Anambra.
“We categorically condemn this murder,” MURIC stated. It’s awful, heinous, and barbaric. No family deserves to be wiped out in this manner.
“We demand that security agencies find and prosecute the killers. At the same time, we urge on all men of conscience to speak out against this murder.
“We notably beg that the British Embassy in Nigeria, as well as other Western sources, denounce this atrocious act with the same vehemence as previous massacres.”
“In the same vein, we urge on all social critics who have condemned previous horrible crimes to condemn this latest atrocity.”
“We want fairness in thoughts on Nigerian happenings.” Selective condemnation of evil will not bring Nigeria or the rest of the world peace.
“In the meantime, we implore Northerners not to retaliate.” Only vengeance can start a bloodbath cycle.
