Ghanaian hip-hop/hiplife rapper Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, often known on stage as Amerado (Amerado Burner) “The Beast,” essentially preaches about everything pertaining to man and the cosmos.

This Ghanaian lyrical genius comes from Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, and is known as the “Twi Machine” for his flow, energy, and proficient usage of the Twi language.

The acronym AMERADO, which stands for “A Master Every Rapper Always Dream Of,” literally translates as “a governor.”

He was discovered by Azee Ntwene in 2015 at the Solid FM Freestyle Saturday, where he finished as the runner-up. He was then housed with Strongman Burner, and after Strongman joined Sarkcess Music, he switched from his previous project, Rap Pagez, to Amerado, becoming the frontline act of MicBurnerz Music.

Amerado released his first significant song as a micburner in January 2017 following a number of releases and features in 2016. With over 40,000 downloads across all music outlets, the track I AM (Prod by Azee Ntwene) was regarded as one of the top hip-hop/hiplife songs to be published in the first quarter of 2017.

Senior musicians such as veteran musician Reggie Rockstone, also known as The Hiplife Grandpapa, Edem, Okyeame Kwame, Stay Jay, and others praised Amerado for the song, which praises the genre’s trailblazers. They took to their Twitter and Facebook pages to recommend him and to include him in their songs.

He is renowned for always donning a black hoodie with a great African print. He goes by many monikers, such as The Beast, The Hoodie Rapper, Twi Machine, Mogya Mono, Lyrical Bawumia, Beat Denkyem, and Younger K.A., among others.
