Thomas Partey missed Arsenal’s loss against Manchester City due to injury, but manager Mikel Arteta has not provided a timetable for his comeback.

The 29-year-availability old’s for the Gunners’ 12:30 PM match at Aston Villa tomorrow, which will be broadcast live on talkSPORT, is suddenly very doubtful.

Partey was ruled out with a muscle issue on the day of the game, which was Arsenal’s biggest game of the year.

Jorginho took over as the lone defensive midfielder in lieu of Partey, who was present at the Emirates to support his colleagues.

The Ghanaian international missed the game for the first time since Arsenal’s 3-1 loss at Manchester United in September.

Before the game began, Arteta said of Partey to Amazon Prime: “It’s what happens in football. Players sustain wounds.

Regrettably, Thomas was unable to play today because of a back muscle ache. In addition, the Spaniard stated in his post-game news conference that he is unsure about the ex-Atletico Madrid player’s return date prior to the trip to Villa.

Arteta said when asked for an update on his health: “We don’t know. It is what occurs and a component of football.

“I believe Jorgi played well, and we need to evaluate Tommy to determine how terrible it is,” said the coach.

Arteta responded, “Very late,” when asked when he learned that Partey wouldn’t be able to play against City. really late

A likely absence from the lineup would be a devastating blow to Arsenal, who are currently in a mini-crisis after losing their previous three Premier League contests.

They are currently tied for second place with City on points, although they do still have a game in hand on Pep Guardiola’s team.

Arteta’s group will need to regain their form to prevent falling behind City, who are only separated by goal differential.

Arsenal does, however, have a benefit if they can keep up with the Citizens because they still have a game remaining.

Arsenal will host Everton on March 1 in order to maintain their lead over Man City. It will begin at 7:45 p.m. at the Emirates.

Due to Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, the match that was scheduled for Saturday, September 10, was postponed.

The Gunners may potentially move back to the top of the Premier League standings and gain ground in the title chase with a victory.

Yet, if they are to outperform Man City’s record through the game at hand, they might already be there; in that scenario, three points against Everton would increase their lead.

However in Sean Dyche’s debut game in command of the Merseyside club, they dropped just their second game of the campaign to the Toffees.

Hence, despite the fact that the two sides are competing at opposite ends of the table, Arteta’s players will not find the match easy.
