Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a Nigerian Afrobeats phenomenon who broke a record with his debut album “Mr Money With The Vibes.”

According to records, the project has received 200 million streams on the international streaming service Boomplay, making it the first debut album by a Nigerian artist to accomplish the achievement.

After being released on Wednesday, September 7th, Mr. Money with the Vibes quickly rose to the top of the charts in Nigeria and the UK.

In addition to the album receiving rave reviews, he has amassed 200 million streams on Boomplay, joining the group of trendsetters.

It is now the second afrobeat album to accomplish this feat. Twice As Tall, Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning debut album was released first.

Additionally, “Mr. Money With The Vibe” debuted at No. 1 on the Top Albums Chart in 31 different nations, including Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. This was a first for an African album.

Numerous tracks from Asake’s album made it to the Daily Top 100 in 60 different nations, including 26 where they debuted in the top 10.

The album’s top hits also peaked at No. 1 in 14 different nations.
