On social media, Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his counterpart from Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, have come under fire for their holiday to Turkey.
According to Naija News, governor Wike confessed in a Tuesday Twitter post that he was in desperate need of a holiday at the moment.
Wike posed for shots with Ikpeazu and a few of his aides in some of the images he posted on his Twitter account.
Wike had tweeted, “Finally taking a much-needed holiday in Turkey with my brother Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.”
Following the release of the images, outraged Abians rushed to Twitter to express their outrage at the governor for leaving the state unattended while on vacation in Turkey.
Others, however, called the Ikpeazu administration a failure and urged the governor to return from his trip and address the issues the state was experiencing.
